DEFEND Bruce Monroe -- Postpone PR22-0979.

On October 22, 2018, the DC Council is holding a hearing on Bruce Monroe Park. They may vote to extend the 'disposition' of this public space under the same conditions as we have now, resulting in privatization and demolition. Plus this, see rendering below.

We are urging the City Council to reject PR22-0979 and to clear some space for us to negotiate with the applicant (developers) for better benefits and less impacts.

It’s urgent that they hear from you as soon as possible. Use our easy email tool below to send your message!

We need an outpouring of email to the Council and Mayor urging the Council to postpone the vote and reconsider the issue. Please use the online form below to tell your story about why you love the park, why you don’t love the proposed development, why you think the city’s process was flawed, or how this enormous development would change your life. Please change the subject line (and the text) so they’ll know you’re a real person!
